Youth involved in the Illinois 4-H STEM Ambassador SPIN (Special Interest) Club will have the opportunity to define, develop, and refine statewide experiences, like the State Robotics Competition and Esports Competition, as well as engage in sponsored programs like the Apple Community Education Program, and the AT&T Digital Ambassadors program. Finally, youth will have the opportunity to design and test new curriculum and activities before they go out state/nationwide.
Are you passionate about science, technology, engineering, or math? Do you want to take your skills to the next level while making an impact across Illinois and beyond? The Illinois 4-H STEM Ambassador SPIN (Special Interest) Club is your chance to lead, innovate, and explore!
As a STEM Ambassador, you'll help shape the future of 4-H STEM programs across the state. Youth in this leadership role will define, develop, and refine statewide STEM experiences such as the Illinois 4-H State Robotics Competition and the 4-H Esports Competition. Ambassadors are also eligible to participate in sponsored national partnerships like the Apple Community Education Initiative and the AT&T Digital Ambassadors Program, which provide real-world experience and professional connections in the tech world.
Beyond competitions and programs, you’ll have the opportunity to design, test, and improve STEM curriculum and hands-on activities before they’re shared across Illinois or even nationwide. Past youth have launched science experiments into space aboard the International Space Station, helped design and deploy small satellites into orbit, and created robotics challenges used at the state level. They have also helped teach and lead activities to other youth across the state.
Whether you're interested in coding, game development, robotics, AI, or emerging tech, the STEM Ambassador SPIN Club offers a place to grow your skills, meet like-minded peers, and lead innovation across 4-H.
If you're between the ages of 14 and 19 and ready to take on a challenge, this is your chance to help shape the future of STEM in 4-H
