Camp Whitetail Hunter Safety weekend is packed with outdoor fun and learning. Camp Whitetail is an event that provides not only a full hunter safety course with both classroom and hands on learning but also with lodging, meals, and family fun. In addition to classroom learning, the hunter safety course will offer in the field tree stand safety, live fire air rifle and shotgun, white-tail deer hunting program, wild turkey hunting program. There is a fee for each person attending the event to cover lodging and meals. 

Guests are welcome to arrive Friday evening to enjoy a relaxing evening at 4-H Memorial Camp with a fishing, boating, hiking, and campfire (FRIDAY EVENING IS OPTIONAL FOR AN ADDITIONAL FEE). If weather is unfavorable there will be a warm fireplace in the dining hall. Lodging will be in log cabins in assignments of 2-10 people per cabin. No bedding provided. 

Registration is a two-step process. Only participants not who do not already have a hunter safety certification and intend to take the exam on Sunday in order to receive their hunter safety card/certificate, will register through the IDNR (step 2 link below).
