10 year member of the Lovell's Luck 4-H Club; 52 year leader of the Parke Victory 4-H Club

DeKalb County is proud to introduce Orrin Vandeburg as their nominee to the 2009 Hall of Fame. When he was a boy, 4-H allowed membership at ten years of age. He joined Lovell's Luck and was an active member of the club for 11yrs,the last two years as Junior Leader. After completing the two years he became Lovell's Luck Leader for the next 28yrs. At which time due to lack of enough farm kids, Lovell's Luck stopped existing and was absorbed into Parke Victory 4-H Club. Orrin continues his loyalty, service, and dedication to the 4-H kids, and 4-H organization to this day as that clubs' leader-another 24 years later! The pledge words; Head, Heart, Hands and Health with service to club, community, and country never rang truer. Orrin is very dedicated to his commitments as a leader and keeps his club running smoothly.  Mr. Vandeburg has a very upbeat attitude and brings a smile to everyone's face at the 4-H meetings.
