Preview of JLC Workshops:

  • Cooking Up Leadership: Come cook up some leadership skills with us and learn how different ideas make a good leader!
  • Boogie Down: Take a twirl around with us and get your dancing boots on as we learn about leadership and line dancing.
  • Reining in Your Public Speaking Skills: Do you feel like you can’t get a grip on your public speaking skills? Join us as we help you rein in your skills! In this workshop, we will give you the tools you need to be more confident and less uneasy when speaking in public. Discover the truly fun aspects of public speaking through a game of ring toss and some debates!
  • A Wild Musical Ride: We can’t be in the Wild West without playing some good Wild West music! Not just any Wild West music, though. We want ORIGINAL music! But…how do we do that? Come join us on “A Wild Musical Ride '' where you can learn how to use the power of Raspberry Pis to compose and showcase
  • Passionate About Pumpkins: Did you know Illinois ranks #1 in Pumpkin production? Come explore by going to different stations to learn more about pumpkins.
  • Community Service: Recycling old t-shirts into desirable dog toys for a welcoming shelter! In this workshop section we will be creating dog toys to be donated to a dog shelter as a form of community service. Our goal is to make over 100 dog toys!
  • Leadership in Practice: The Youth Leadership Team is OUT and the Junior Leadership Attendees are IN! In this workshop, your teams will have the opportunity to lead each other in a variety of games. Practice being the leaders so that you can bring the activities back to lead with your clubs!
