Mark Ridlen was raised in Urbana, Illinois. He was a 10-year member of the Illiac and Illini 4-H clubs. His 4-H career was highlighted as a member of the 1976 Illinois Poultry Judging team, which won the National Poultry Judging contest. He was inspired by his parents’ commitment to 4-H as leaders and teaching others.
Mark is a graduate of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a degree in Agricultural Industries. Mark was an active member of Nabor House Fraternity and later served as President of the Nabor House Alumni Board.
While Mark is now retired, he spent over 40 years working in banking, financial, and regulatory roles. Mark held a variety of roles in banks, including Citicorp, and later worked at Farm Credit Services before joining the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, where he held a variety of positions over a 30+ year career, including his role as Assistant Deputy Comptroller overseeing national banks and savings and loans.
Mark and his wife Susan currently reside in Carmel, Indiana. They have three adult children, Kyle, Thomas, and Tyler.
