Chase Dittmar is an innovative entrepreneur, educator, and dedicated 4-H advocate, making him a 2025 Illinois 4-H Young Alumni Award winner.

His 4-H journey began in Jo Daviess County, where he explored a variety of projects—from beekeeping and woodworking to public speaking and leadership. Through these experiences, Chase developed a strong work ethic, creativity, and a passion for sharing knowledge with others.

Chase’s love for bees led him to start Dry Creek Beekeeping, an agritourism business that offers tours, classes, and honey tastings to educate the public about the vital role of pollinators. He also shares his expertise through a popular YouTube channel and teaches a LifeLong Learning class on beekeeping at Highland Community College.

Chase’s commitment to education and mentorship shines in his work with 4-H youth, where he serves as a teen teacher and role model—helping others grow their skills and confidence. His leadership has been recognized through numerous awards, including the FFA Agricultural Communications State Champion and the prestigious Williston Jones Scholarship.

Krista Jones, 4-H Educator in Jo Daviess County, shared, “Chase’s creativity and dedication inspire everyone he meets. He truly embodies the spirit of 4-H by combining entrepreneurship with service and education.”

Beyond 4-H, Chase volunteers in his community—whether delivering gifts to homebound neighbors, supporting local food drives, or participating in youth mission trips. His generosity and passion for making a difference are felt far and wide.

As those who know him say, when it comes to hard work, curiosity, and heart—Chase is always buzzing with energy and ready to lead.

Congratulations, Chase!
