Stuart and Lola Thompson revived the Coldspring Copperheads 4‑H Club when a need arose in the Cowden‑Herrick community, growing it from five to twenty‑seven members in just four years. Under their leadership, the club became highly active in county events and completed numerous service projects, from packing Pride Packages to cleaning local parks and cemeteries. Although they retired after twelve years, they continue to volunteer each year at the Shelby County 4‑H & Junior Fair, assisting with multiple livestock shows. Stuart and Lola’s dedication, generosity, and continued service make a lasting impact on Shelby County youth and the 4‑H program.
