Jon Schar

Dr. Schar has served Henderson County 4‑H with dedication for more than three decades. A former member of the Stronghurst Hustlers, his love of farming and livestock led him to earn his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois in 1987. Since opening his clinic that same year, he has selflessly given back as the fair veterinarian, supporting youth and ensuring the well‑being of their animals. Alongside his wife, Lorrie, he raised two 4‑H members and continues to model commitment, service, and community pride.
