Seventeen years ago, Lori Tharp transitioned from 4-H Program Coordinator to 4-H volunteer—but her dedication never skipped a beat. As leader of Rock Island County’s “4-H in the City” club and Federation, Lori has created vibrant, hands-on learning rooted in service, leadership, and joy. From reviving the Federation to empowering youth to take on opportunities with confidence, Lori’s passion shapes every experience. Her 4-H journey spans roles, generations, and impact—making her a true cornerstone of the Rock Island 4-H community.
