John and Suzie Schertz

For John and Suzie, 4-H was more than a family activity—it was a shared calling. John, a devoted farmer and diesel mechanic, and Suzie, a lifelong educator, brought their talents and heart to Woodford County 4-H for over two decades. Whether leading the Eastside Producers, mentoring young exhibitors, or guiding county programs, they made 4-H stronger with every year of service. Though John passed away in May 2024, his legacy continues through Suzie’s continued leadership and the many lives they’ve both helped shape.
