What began as a way to support their own kids soon became a way of life for Jay and Melissa Maxey. For over 16 years, they’ve poured their time and hearts into Cumberland County 4-H—serving as livestock superintendents, leading the Raisin' Kane club, and showing up for every workshop, weigh-in, and fair. Even with their children now grown, they continue to lead alongside their youngest daughter. Known for their steady support and deep belief in 4-H’s mission, Jay and Melissa embody the kind of mentorship that leaves a lasting mark.
