Jacob O'Neal

For Jacob, 4-H has always been more than a club—it’s been a foundation for life. Growing up in Johnson County, he was a hands-on 4-H’er, diving into projects like woodworking, electricity, entomology, and livestock while working alongside his siblings on the family farm. Now as a dedicated volunteer with the Johnson County 4-H Shooting Sports program, Jacob shares his passion for safety, responsibility, and skill development. He goes beyond regular meetings to provide extra training for youth preparing for state-level competitions. For Jacob, 4-H is about building confidence, discipline, and a strong sense of community—just as his mentors once did for him.
