Mike Smallwood is one of those dedicated volunteers who just wants to see kids grow and succeed in 4-H and LIFE! Mike has been involved in 4-H by helping with absolutely anything that could possibly need to be done since his kids joined 4-H 10 years ago. He has shown his support to the program by serving terms on the Clark County 4-H Youth Committee and continues to serve as the 4-H Foundation president and a 4-H Goat Superintendent. If there is a job or a question, Mike is there to lend his unbiased support. He has volunteered countless hours assisting with fairground setup, cleanup, and improvements on the grounds and barns. Extension Staff can always count on Mike long after the lights are turned out and everyone else has headed for home, to make sure all is ready to start the next day. He’s also proven his cooking abilities at the 4-H BBQ. Mike has a great support team in his wife, Christy, and kids Owen, Sara, and Wyatt. This family knows that hard work and passion breeds success. Clark County 4-H is very fortunate to have Mike and his entire family involved in our 4-H program!
