Margaret grew up in an extended family where 4-H was just part of life—4-H is what you did growing up. After being a 10-year member of the Good Producers’ 4-H Club and attending 4-H Club Congress, Margaret became the club leader in 1985. Under her leadership, hundreds of youth have grown and learned valuable life skills. Many of those members followed her example and now serve the local 4-H program as volunteers. Margaret has also served on the Madison County Extension and 4-H Education Foundation, as a Master Gardener and a superintendent for 4-H and Madison County Fair. Margaret may have been born into a 4-H family, but she chose it as a lifelong vocation.
