Kristi Pyatt (Kern) was an 8 year 4-H member, split between Macomb and Springfield, IL areas. In those eight years of 4-H, she showed various projects including equine, dogs, sewing, flowers, and vegetables at the county, state, and national level shows. She has remained active with the local programs via many community organizations including Arabian Horse Association, UIUC Master Gardeners, Farm Bureau Ag in the Classroom, and Monticello Community Schools as a teacher. She has long mentored children as a classroom and 4-H club volunteer, 4-H general show superintendent, led seed starting classes, wool production and use clinics, natural (fabric) dying workshops, hosted farm tours for clubs and school classrooms and even hosted a 4-H farm to table dinner fundraiser where 4-H'ers learn to cook and serve a complete dinner. Kristi has always been a volunteer that we can depend on to contribute her experiences and expertise for the benefit of our 4-H youths in Piatt County, Illinois.
