Doris and Clem met in 4-H when they were both members of the Nokomis Faithful Workers.  Later they married and took on the role of club leader together.  They both valued the skills that young people gain in the 4-H program especially, public speaking.  To this day, they say they can spot a 4-H member by how they handle themselves in front of a crowd.  Clem and Doris took great pride in the accomplishments of the members in their club whether it was winning local awards or going to 4-H Congress.  After retiring as 4-H leaders, they still support the 4-H program financially and in advisory roles.  4-H is a great program because of caring volunteers, like Clem and Doris.
