Carla has not only been a 4-H program coordinator, but she has also volunteered her time as a 4-H leader. Carla has been involved with Jefferson County 4-H through her three children.

"In 2001, I was asked to be the Cloverbud leader for the Waltonville Lucky Leprechauns 4-H club. Meeting each month and providing fun activities for the younger members of our 4-H families introduced me to the best organization for teaching life skills to youth. As my 3 children grew, they became involved in all the opportunities 4-H could provide. When I became a 4-H program coordinator in 2011, my eyes were opened to the limitless learning possibilities available for youth through 4-H from shooting sports, robotics, to livestock and cooking.  Helping to reestablish the youth leadership group in Jefferson County, working with caring and talented adult volunteers from all walks of life, and seeing youth grow in knowledge and confidence has been a chapter of my life I will always cherish." -Carla
