In 1929 at the age of 8, Cathryn joined the local 4-H club in Livingston County. When she aged out, Cathryn was a charter member of the group called the “Country Couples”. A group that grew up in 4-H and wanted to continue learning and supporting 4-H as they grew older. The Country Couples created and operated a food stand serving snacks to the 4-H’ers. Many of the original memebers attended the Hall of Fame event as well!
