Ron Mueller’s enthusiasm for 4-H began as a young member of the Waterloo 4-H Club when he started showing a registered Hampshire gilt and received a blue ribbon at the Monroe County Fair. Subsequently, Ron raised hogs for 30 years in addition to raising strawberries while in high school.
Ron later transitioned into leader of the Waterloo 4-H Club for 27 years. Ron is a strong supporter of the Monroe County 4-H program and has served as a committee member of the annual ‘Harvest Night’ fundraiser for over 10 years. He is also the Vice President of the Monroe County Fair Board and is always there to lend a hand to set up for the 4-H Ice Cream stand at the fair each summer.
