Ruth began her 4-H career as a leader of the Pioneer Country Kids 4-H Club which she started with another 4-H mother. Within a year it was the biggest and most active club in the county, earning Club of the year several times. She served as a leader until her kids aged out of 4-H and she then assumed the role as a 4-H Foundation member. During her tenure she served as president several years as well as secretary. Her contributions to the 4-H Foundation have included helping with the annual Pork Chop Dinner and was instrumental with working with the Hamilton County Fair board. With her term ending this year from the Hamilton County 4-H Foundation, her contributions will be greatly missed.
