Karen was an 11 year 4-H member in Grundy County. She started in the Happy Go Luck Club (and all girls club) and she has served as a leader for Saratoga Ag for 21 years. Karen had been a 4-H Judge, Superintendent, and secretary. She had done countless radio and newspaper interviews for 4-H. She has served on the Extension Council, Fair Association and helps raise money for Extension with the Grundy County Friends. Karen believes in helping the members achieve success, by providing the framework and expecting them to do the work.
