As a former 4-H’er, Demara returned and immediately took pride in giving back by showing and instilling in her three children the values of 4-H. Damara’s current 4-H journey began as a parent that was always willing to volunteer and assist as needed. She then started offering her assistance in a smaller capacity. From there, she moved on up to become the annual 4-H Kwanzaa Celebration Leader in which she helped the youth to put on a STELLAR production. Every December she has taught them how to embody the core principles of Kwanzaa as well as showed them how it relates to their life. In addition to this, Demara is now the Public Relations Leader for Sangamon County 4-H Metro. She designs all our club fliers and certificates. She releases and works on our PR and works alongside our Parent Liason to help bridge the gap and keep parents involved as well. It is amazing to see Demara taking pleasure in making 4-H stand out among the rest especially with the masterpieces she creates! Words cannot explain how much joy Demara has brought to our 4-H Family. Her vibrant and energetic spirit is contagious! Demara is a true GEM and an asset to our Family! We are glad that life brought her full circle to give back to a program that helped to shape and mold her into the wonderful person she is today.
