Sheryl Hopkins has been nominated for the Illinois 4-H Hall of Fame, because of her continuous support of 4-H at the Ogle County Fair. Sheryl is a critical part of the Ogle County 4-H Fair—especially with the after-the-fair logistics. Her and her husband, Lyle, take care of the Blue Ribbon Livestock Auction book work, collecting money, helping buyers, and paying out checks to 4-H'ers. Sheryl also plays a huge part in tracking where livestock are being taken after they are sold at the auction and making sure transactions are seen through. Sheryl has always been a big supporter of the Ogle County 4-H Program since she became a 4-H leader for the Pine Creek Valley 4-H Club. Sometimes it is the people who work behind the scenes that deserve the recognition the most and Sheryl has definitely proven to be one of those people!!
