Rod has served Marshall-Putnam 4-H for 16 years as a club leader, Beef Superintendent, Association member and as a director on the Marshall-Putnam Extension & 4-H Foundation board. He began his 4-H career as a member of the Steuben Rangers where he held every office at one time or another. Rod was involved with livestock and general projects as a Steuben Ranger. He attended several State events such as camps and leadership conferences. Rod became the leader of his 4-H club while his three daughters were in 4-H. His oldest of five grandchildren just started his 4-H career, so Rod will continue to be a part of Marshall-Putnam 4-H for years to come.
