Karen Moore started her 4-H career as an accomplished 4-H member in Marion County, IN. She carried that experience into her adult life and became involved in Ford County 4-H in the 1990s. Karen and her husband were club leaders of the Melvin Adventurers while their children were members. For many years they also ran the 4-H Food Stand at the Ford County Fair with the 4-H Federation and county clubs. Karen was involved with the Ford-Iroquois Counties’ 4-H Foundation and was a founding member of the Ford-Iroquois Youth Committee. Karen then went on to become involved on the administrative side of 4-H working for Ford-Iroquois Extension and later the Illinois State 4-H Office for 20 years. We appreciate Karen and the many ways she has served 4-H over the years. Thank you!
