Merriam-Webster dictionary defines volunteer as “a person who voluntarily undertakes or expresses a willingness to undertake a service.” Darlene is a 21-year volunteer with Warren County 4-H. She has led Willing Workers 4-H club throughout that time. Darlene enjoys working with 4-H because “there is always something to learn.” Darlene always has a smile for everyone she meets. She has been tremendously appreciated for the past 21 years and we hope to continue working with her in the future. Darlene and her husband are approaching their 50th wedding anniversary. They have five children. In her free time Darlene enjoys gardening, canning and dancing. She especially enjoys being a grandmother to her nine grandchildren.
