Nellie is one of the most outstanding volunteers in the Mercer County 4-H program. She so generously donates her time to the 4-H program in many ways. She is currently a leader for 4-H Teen Federation, Mercer County 4-H Citizen Scientist, and Mercer County 4-H Hunger Ambassadors, as well as serving on the Mercer County Expansion and Review Committee. For the past ten years Nellie and her husband, Duane, hosted fifteen youth by participating in the Illinois Association of the International 4-H Youth Exchange program. Her service and support to the 4-H program is priceless. Her willingness to get involved in so many important areas in 4-H is selfless. Her professionalism, leadership and ethics make her an outstanding role model to Mercer County youth and a very valued volunteer in Mercer County.
