As a 21-year Master Gardener and past member of the Monroe County Extension & 4-H Education Foundation, Jim Etherton has supported the local 4-H program in multiple capacities. Throughout the years, Jim has been a regular at judging 4-H Horticulture projects at the County Fair, providing youth with his vast knowledge about gardening. In 2014, the Baebler Educational Farm was donated to the county Foundation with the help of Jim’s friendship with donor, Vera Baebler. Because of Jim’s interest in helping others learn about how to grow and care for plants and enjoy the outdoors, Jim has been instrumental in bringing the goals of the Baebler Farm to reality.
