Beginning as a parent helper when her children first joined 4-H, Chris Northup continues to be an active volunteer with the McHenry County 4-H program. She has served as the leader of the Community Builders 4-H Club for 20 years and shared her passion for dogs and horses by serving on the county's dog and horse committees. As an instructor for the dog training classes, Chris provides calm, gentle guidance for 4-Hers and their dogs. She continues to serve as a Superintendent for the Natural Resources and Environment project areas and has served for six years on the McHenry County 4-H Youth Foundation board.    Seeing children build their self-esteem through project work is  one of her favorite things about being involved with 4-H.
