Bob and Chris Schafer of Scott County form the perfect 4-H volunteering team. Bob—whose philosophy is “it’s all about the kids”—has been an active member of the Scott County Fairboard for over 30 years and currently serves as president. Bob is also acting President of Unit 15 Extension Council and serves on the Illinois State Advisory Extension Council. Chris has been a leader for 36 years and has served on many committees at the Scott County Fair and currently serves as superintendent of the Hobbies Department where she is always known to give encouragement to everyone. As a couple, they work side by side to truly make the best better.
