While Thelma Meeks of Ogle County never was a member in 4-H, she attended many of the functions that her siblings attended as members. She has been a 4-H Leader for 36 years and has led the Forreston Friskies 4-H Club to receive Ogle County's Club-of-the-Year award for at least 4 years. She always placed an emphasis on record-keeping which has led to the club being an honors club, receiving numerous county club awards, and having many club members be honored as Top 30 winners. She also currently serves as superintendent at the Ogle County Fair.
