Charlie Nolte started a family tradition in 4-H spanning three generations.  As a young man, he started a 4-H club after graduating from high school.  Later he and two other 4-H members stepped up and lead the Deer Plain Ag 4-H Club for ten years. Through the years, he and his wife Marietta, helped instill the values of 4-H not only in their children and grandchildren but in many other young people in the community.
