10 year member of the Senachwine Go-Getters; 20 year leader of the Saratoga Sunshine Girls
Shirley Quinn is 88 years old and still volunteers each summer at the Marshall-Putnam 4-H Show. She has had a lifelong passion for the program. Shirley began her 4-H career as a member of the Senachwine Go-Getters 4-H Club in Marshall-Putnam. While a 4-Her, Shirley attended 4-H Congress in Clothing Judging category. After marrying Leslie Quinn and having four children (Robert, Dal, Kenneth, and Yvonne), Shirley became the 4-H leader for the Saratoga Sunshine Girls in Marshall-Putnam. Many of her past 4-H members still enjoy sharing stories of the wonderful impact that Shirley made in their lives. After retiring from her 4-H volunteer role, Shirley continued her involvement with Extension and 4-H through the Saratoga Home & Community Education Association and as a 4-H Show volunteer.
