4 year member of the Turner Lassies 4-H Club; 24 year leader of the Hawthorne Future Leaders 4-H Club
Helen Sailer's involvement with White County Extension dates back to childhood when she learned to sew in her 4-H club. For the past 60 years, she has provided guidance to generations of 4-H youth. After receiving her degree from Southern Illinois University in 1946, Helen began her Extension career as Youth Advisor in Jefferson County and helped organize the Rural Youth Group. She also served as Youth Advisor in White County where she later served as volunteer 4-H club leader for nearly 25 years. She continues her involvement as mentor for home economics projects for the county.
