The late Robert Hopkins of Ogle County “bled green” throughout his 60 years of membership and service to the 4-H program.  He loved working with young people, hearing their talks, listening to their ideas and encouraging them to participate in activities beyond the local club.  Bob’s favorite club event was the tour of member’s farms.  He loved forming a convoy of cars to travel across the county to see member’s projects firsthand.  Bob lost a long battle with a rare form of skin cancer this past June.  Ogle County Extension staff dedicate his induction as a tribute to his years of inspiration and service and to his family for sharing such a great man with the youth of Ogle County.
