Mary Jane VenHuizen of Whiteside County, long-time secretary at University of Illinois Extension in Whiteside County, retired on August 29, 2003 after more than 33 years of service to Whiteside County. Mary Jane was an active 4-H member when she was a young girl with the Cottonwood 4-H Club and now she participates within Whiteside County 4-H by being a member of the Whiteside County 4-H Support Fund and watching her own granddaughters participate in the same club in which she did. Mary Jane VenHuizen is a very dedicated individual to the Whiteside County 4-H program and is very deserving of this award.
