Leland and Nan Martin of Mercer County are worthy nominees to the Illinois 4-H Hall of Fame. Despite their children now being 4-H alumni, the pair has continued to open their home to 4-Hers for weekly horse clinics. They have served as project leaders and superintendents for over 15 years and continue to show support for Mercer County 4-H. Last year they coordinated the Regional Horse Bowl/Hippology contest. It is rare to see just one of these individuals attending an event. Whether it is a county barbeque, workshop or at the fair, both Nan and Leland can be seen lending their support to 4-H. Congratulations to both of you!
