8 year member of the Buccaneers 4-H Club; 35 year leader of the Buccaneers 4-H Club

Rock Island County would like to nominate Steve Simpson to the Illinois 4-H Hall of Fame for his 45 years of dedication and service.  Steve's involvement includes: former 4-H'er and founding member of the Buccaneers 4-H Club, Leader, Parent, and former Horse Show Superintendent.  Steve was instrumental in helping Rock Island pass its referendum in support of Extension in the 1990's. Currently, Steve serves as President of the Rock Island County 4-H Foundation and Vice Chairman of the Extension Council. Steve provides generous financial support through personal gifts and acquiring gifts through his employer, Exelon Corporation, which is currently an annual supporter of many of our programs including funding our Summer Culture Camp for kids.
