14 year club leader; Long-time volunteer; Former County 4-H Chair

Through her nearly ninety-seven years, Mabel Cole's family has witnessed numerous ladies thank their mother for the help she gave them in learning to cook and sew. Mabel's driving force was to get young people to use their mind. Through it all, this 4-H leader perservered teaching by educating by example to be emulated. A hallmark of her technique was practice, practice, practice, and practice again. She encouraged her members to give their talks and demonstations to various audiences. Mabel was also County 4-H Chairman and  she attended various local club achivement programs. She served as encouragement to youngesters and leaders throughout Macoupin County.
