Member of Boone County 36 year leader of Garden Prairie Grasshoppers of Boone County

Maynard Bye has been actively involved in the Boone County 4-H program for the past 45 years which includes serving as a leader of the Garden Prairie Grasshoppers for 36 years.  His involvement in the 4-H program has also included spearheading the first Auction Committee and assisting with beef show weigh-ins.  A highlight of his experiences with 4-H was watching 3 generations of his family exhibit livestock at the Boone County Fair and 4-H Show.  Maynard is an inspiration to all who are affiliated with the 4-H program and he is a model of volunteerism at its finest.
