Award

Pam is a passionate community leader, nurse, and lifelong advocate for youth development, making her a 2025 Illinois 4-H Alumni Award winner.

Her 4-H journey began in the Ursa Fancy Doers 4-H Club, where she learned leadership, perseverance, and the value of community service—skills she carried with her into a distinguished 50-year nursing career. Pam served as Executive Director of the Adams County Red Cross, where she led a successful capital campaign to build a new facility, expanding vital services across the region. Her leadership continues today through mentoring nonprofit leaders and serving on countless boards and initiatives.

Pam’s 4-H spirit lives on through her tireless support of her grandchildren’s 4-H experiences. Whether judging at local shows, baking for club events, or encouraging youth to pursue leadership opportunities, Pam is always planting seeds for success. She played a key role in helping launch Wreaths Across America in Adams County and has served as a chaperone, nurse, and cheerleader for 4-H conferences and events.

Lisa Hadsall, Extension Program Coordinator in Adams County, shared, “Pam has an incredible ability to connect generations through 4-H. Her encouragement, leadership, and love for youth development are felt throughout our program.”

In addition to her 4-H involvement, Pam continues to serve her community as vice chair of the Adams County Bicentennial Committee and a trusted advisor to numerous local organizations. Her dedication is matched only by her warmth and generosity.

As her friends and colleagues often say: if you need a helping hand—and maybe some homemade cookies—Pam is always there.

Congratulations, Pam!
