Award

Lindsay Young is a compassionate nurse practitioner, dedicated volunteer, and proud 4-H alum—making her a 2025 Illinois 4-H Alumni Award winner.

Her 4-H journey began in the Genesee Hillbillies 4-H Club in Whiteside County, where she developed leadership, confidence, and a deep commitment to helping others. Those early 4-H experiences laid the foundation for her career in health care and her passion for service.

Today, Lindsay serves patients at Mayo Clinic’s Bone Marrow Transplant Unit in Rochester, Minnesota, mentors nursing students, and shares her expertise as a national conference presenter. She’s also a selfless volunteer—serving meals, leading family activities, and supporting families at the Ronald McDonald House, where she has served as a board officer.

Lindsay continues to give back to 4-H by mentoring youth, encouraging members at local fairs, and sharing how 4-H shaped her life of service.

As those who know her often say, Lindsay leads with heart—in her career, her community, and through her lifelong 4-H spirit.

Congratulations, Lindsay!
