For Youth Grades 7-12
Participants will:
- Understand what mental health means and its impact on those around us
- Identify the difference among some common but serious mental health disorders
- Understand how society communicates about this issue in casual speech and in the media
- Identify strategies of self-help and be part of the solution
The curriculum can be implemented in various program settings, such as after-school programs, clubs, camps, and community-based sites. Ten lessons lasting 45 minutes each can be modified as needed to accommodate schedule needs.
