Understand what mental health means and its impact on those around us. Learn about different mental health disorders and identify strategies for self-help and helping others.
Training for staff, teen teachers and on-site program site staff interested will be provided as needed. The training can be provided as a combination of staff, teen teachers and/or on-site program site staff; OR the training can be provided for staff in a train-the-trainer format so extension staff can provide additional training locally.

For Youth Grades 7-12
- Understand what mental health means and its impact on those around us
- Identify the difference among some common but serious mental health disorders
- Understand how society communicates about this issue in casual speech and in the media
- Identify strategies of self-help and be part of the solution
4-H SPIN Club experiences involving 5 or more youth engaged in 6 or more virtual or face-to-face learning experiences. Sites can be in-school, after-school, and/or day camp or week-end learning experiences.
