Did any of your 4-H project skills, experiences or connections help prepare you for your career path?
Of course I use leadership and public speaking daily as well as cooking and baking plus cat care. Having taken a diverse range of projects, I'm better equipped to relate to a wide spectrum of our society and be more effective in my careers.

What advice do you have for someone who wants to enter your career path?
Enroll in related 4-H projects, seek out extra opportunities at County level and beyond, gain mentors within 4-H and continually grow your network.

What did you learn through 4-H that benefits you today?
Public speaking, record keeping, organization, people skills, good citizenship and volunteerism.

How did 4-H contribute to your leadership skills today?
Serving in leadership roles in my Club and my County Federation, attending State Conferences and the Washington DC Citizenship Focus, and growing new leaders and recruiting new 4-H members all have contributed to my leadership skills while sharing them with others and helping others grow their skills.

What advice would you give a current 4-H member?
Try projects that interest you. Look for leasing opportunities if you want to show livestock but don't own any. Participate in County level opportunities and don't be afraid to apply for State and National opportunities.
