Dr. Shelly Nickols-Richardson serves as the Associate Dean & Director of Illinois Extension in the College of ACES. She joined the faculty at the University of Illinois in 2013 as the Professor and Head of the Food Science Human Nutrition Department.  Dr. Richardson’s earned her bachelors in Food, Nutrition & Institutional Administration at Oklahoma State University and both her masters and PH.D in Nutrition from the University of Georgia in Athens.  She served as the Interim Associate Dean and Director of Illinois Extension for one year, and in February 2019, she was selected as the permanent Associate Dean and Director. Shelly serves as the Chair of the North Central Cooperative Extension Association working with other Directors in the 12-state region to promote Extension's reach and impact.
