Jim is an 11-year 4-H alumnus growing up in the Junior Feeders 4-H Club in Shelbyville.  Today he is a dedicated volunteer in the Shelby County 4-H program spearheading efforts to bring back the Bank Steer program in 2012.  This program assists youth with interest-free loans to 4-H youth who would like to purchase a show steer. He has made improvements to the fairgrounds and helps 4-H members with their animals during fair week. Jim is known for his willingness to assist and provide guidance to 4-H members. Jim stated, “The Bank Steer Program has many benefits for youth to explore real world experiences while working with members in the community.”
