Menard County inductee, Elmer Rankin, is an extraordinary 4-H alum, former Extension employee, and volunteer. He was a 10 year member in Logan County, served Extension for 29 years working in Tazewell, Menard, and Sangamon counties, and mentored Youth Educators for many years. Elmer also volunteered many hours to local fairs serving as Sheep Superintendent or judge of Crops, Plants, and Soils exhibits. Currently, he is contributing to the new generation of 4-Hers by helping his own grandchildren participate in the Menard County 4-H program in a club co-led by his daughter.
