Hailing from Tazewell County, Vera (VEER-A) Betzelberger (BET-SILL-BURGER), has spent her life as a 4-H member and volunteer. Her passion for the 4-H program rivals her passion for horses. Vera grew up as a 4-H member in two different 4-H clubs, one led by her Mom and one led by her Dad. As a 4-H alumni, Vera became a 4-H leader and has started the six 4-H Clubs in Tazewell County. Vera not only gives leadership to her 4-H members, she also helps build the next club leader. Over the past 31 years, she has shared her knowledge and passion for horses in a variety of ways.
