Ruben Dittmer of LaSalle County and his wife, Tara, began their 4-H club, South Prairie Pioneers in March 2010. They started out with 20 members and now their club has over 100 members! Ruben was a 4-H member himself and became involved in 4-H as the Livestock Judging Coach. In 1992, Ruben took the team to the National Judging Competition and won. Currently, he volunteers his time as a leader, a Rifle instructor, a Beef Committee member, and takes care of the Federation auction at the 4-H Fair--something he has been doing for over thirty years. LaSalle County 4-H truly appreciates Ruben's hard work and dedication.
