Lillabelle “Belle” Steck has had an impact on numerous 4-Hers’ lives throughout Knox County. She has judged many 4-H general project exhibits in multiple counties. As a member of the Knox County Homemakers Extension, 4-H members brought their "practice" project exhibits for evaluation and Belle provides suggestions before taking them to the show. She wants every mistake or misstep to be a learning experience and always encourages 4-H members to keep trying. Named Knox County 4-H Leader of the Year in 1969, she was also honored as a state 4-H Alumni in 1977. Belle has been an integral part of the 4-H youth development program in Knox County for many years. Congratulations, Belle!
